Description

Ludoko Studios makes games with an aim towards being diverse, unique, and meaningful. Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania we are continually prototyping new ways to surprise people.

History

Origins

Michael Lee and Dan Lin first met at Carnegie Mellon's Entertainment Technology Center in fall 2011. Along with Felix Park, they spent a semester working on the mindful xp project resulting in the 2013 Student IGF-selected game the mindful xp volume. As graduate students Michael and Dan built games and interactive experiences aimed at educating and inspiring players. As professionals after graduating in 2013, they continue to work together in the quest to make interesting games.

Before

In 2014 Ludoko Studios worked with Cartoon Hangover/Frederator Inc. (Adventure Time, The Fairly OddParents, Bravest Warriors, Bee and Puppycat) to develop and release Fly Catbug Fly!, a mobile game featuring The Bravest Warriors' breakout character Catbug. The free version, Fly Catbug Fly Free! was released on the Apple App Store in January 2016.

In addition to their work with Cartoon Hangover, they are also creating their own original independent game projects. The first project Outdodge, a reaction-based action mobile game starring a ball-dodging jelly, was released on April 2016.

Now

Currently Ludoko Studios is working on their next game, Too Close, a new reaction/twitch inverse bullet hell mobile game, coming January 2020.
